Dr. Shauna Anderson - Owner

Dr. Shauna grew up in Southern California. She always had a great variety of animals as her furry friends - dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, snakes, iguana, mice, and a horse. Her passion for animals grew from the lifelong care she gave for all of these pets. She
graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with her Bachelors in Science degree. She then attended St. George’s University in Grenada for her first 3 years and the University of Florida for her 4th year of Veterinary School. Dr. Shauna has practiced in South Carolina, including various areas of
Southern California. Practicing veterinary medicine in different regions has allowed for her to see a wide-variety cases.

In 2018, Dr. Shauna came to work in the beautiful mountains at Rimforest Animal Hospital. At the time, the owner, Dr. Jon Frieboes, stated that he was ready to “hang up his syringes”. An opportunity arrived and came to fruition in June of 2019.

Dr. Shauna currently resides in Apple Valley (just short but beautiful drive to the mountains). She has her 3 cats, 2 chickens, a horse and her dog, Gigi, whom some of you may meet when visit the hospital - Gigi is the true manager!

Angel

My name is Angel. I have been working as an RVT for 20 years. I spent 10 years of that time as an RVT in the Army. I am now retired and enjoy my time at Rimforest Animal Hospital. My favorite thing about being in the Vet field is doing dentals and my involvement in surgery. I love helping every animal in any way I can. I hold a degree in Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, and Veterinary Technology. I own 4 large dogs and wouldn't change that for anything. 

Preston

My name is Preston. I am a mom of 2 human children, 4 cats and 1 dog. I have just recently become a licensed RVT after 10 years working in the field. I just moved up to the mountains from Chino and am loving everything about the mountains. In my free time I am usually hiking with my children or spending quality time with my partner.

Hi, I’m LeeAnn I’ve lived up here in the mountains my whole life. I love all animals but my favorites are the squish faced dogs like pugs. I have a pug myself named Benny (stink). I love the life I live!

Veronica

Hi. I'm a Veronica that has lived and worked here in our beautiful San Bernardino mountains since 2018. I grew up in San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire, also lived in the Valley for 8yrs. I've been working with animals since 2001 and wouldn't have it any other way. I have 2 crazy kids named Titan Subotai and Penny Lane. In my free time I like to scrapbook, walk the lake, take adventures with my kids  like hiking and Overlanding.

Alondra

Alondra was born and raised in the San Bernardino mountains. She initially joined the team as a student and eventually got hired in May of 2023. Her love for animals came to be from growing up around horses, dogs, cats and various other animals you would typically find on a ranch. Alondra attended college in the city of Riverside and became a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Working with animals had been her life goal since she was a child and now dedicates this completed dream to her Father that passed in February of 2021.

Shawna

Shawna the vet assistant (aka Shawna #3 when you're visiting the hospital) joined the Rimforest team in October 2023 and has been working with animals since 2021. Previously from Maine, Shawna moved to California in 2011. She enjoys exploring other countries, trying new foods, gardening, and reading, as well as spending time with her husband and two cats - Bonsai and Calypso.

Hi I'm Terri and I have had the experience of enjoying dogs and their people for 30 years and love my job! Retrievers are my breed- lab or goldens, but any dog speaks my language. On my days off I enjoy gardening and being by any kind of water, beach, lake or pool in the sunshine with my dogs.

Erica

I am Erica! I have lived in the San Bernardino Mountains for about 25 years, and enjoyed growing up in our community. I worked in the Hospitality and Food Service industries for 17 years, until deciding it was time to try something new and different! I joined the team here as a Receptionist in Spring of 2021, and have loved learning and growing in the Veterinary field, as well as working with the team here at Rimforest Animal Hospital! Most of my off time is spent with my Malamute Kunuk walking, hiking or taking adventures!!

Hi, my name is Shauna and I work as a part time receptionist here at Rimforest Animal Hospital. I moved to the mountains 3 years ago with my fiance. We now have an amazing son as well as a stubborn mastiff.
